
Jojo Bragais was so emotional at the culmination of the inaugural Reina Filipinas pageant held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater last August 7. Despite inclement weather, the pageant started on time, which is very rare in the Phiippines!
A rousing opening production led by Miss Grand international 2025, Emma Mary Tiglao, truly pleased pageant fans who have been clamoring change in the usual formula in staging beauty events. The inaugural event finished early, and did not drag to that wee hours of the morning.
Three new queens were crowned at the end of the well received pageant. The initial venture was hugely praised by people who watched the show in the venue Ang those who saw it on television.
Angelica Lopez of Palawan was crowned Miss Grand international Philippines while Alexie Brooks of Iloilo and and Anne Patricia Diaz of Manila will represent the Philippines on the Miss Grand International All Stars stage.
Completing the Reina Filipinas 2026 lineup of winners were Zambales’ Cleopatra Barrera as first runner-up, Camarines Sur’s Isabella Ortega as second runner-up, Mandaluyong’s Zeah Nestle Pala as third runner-up, and Caloocan’s Luisa Benavides as fourth runner-up.
