Sandiwa, a hybrid cultural event to celebrate the seventy five years of friendship between the Philippines and the United States and the establishment of the Philippine Consulate General in New York, The event is also a celebration of the seventy fifth anniversary of the “Buwan ng Wika”. The Kalayaan Hall of the Philippine Consulate General served as the venue for the event held last August 7, 2021.
Performing artists from the Philippines and the US were featured during the three hour event which was directed by theater actor/singer/ director Miguel Catacutan Braganza II. Angel Ram and Brian Jose were the emcees for the night.
Lorli Villanueva’s song number with the TatlongRondalista moved a lot of guests to tears!
