Miss Grand International first runner up Christine Juliane “CJ” Hinkle Opiaza officially became the Philippines’ first Miss Grand International titleholder following the alleged “resignation”i of 2024 winner Rachel Gupta.
A pomp coronation ceremony took place in Bangkok’s MGI Hall last June 3, 2025 with hundreds in attendance to welcome the Filipina beauty. CJ completed the Philippines’ quest to win all the “Top 6” ( Miss Universe, Miss World, Miss International, Miss Earth, Miss Supranational and Miss Grand International) beauty crowns in the world . Puerto Rico was the first to have these six crowns.
Miss Grand International President Nawat Itsaragrisil crowned CJ during the ceremony, placing the golden crown and sash on her as she beamed with pride. happiness and joy, after which the Philippine anthem was played.
