The inaugural Reina Filipina North America Search, the official search for the tri state area for ladies who will represent at the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines Pageant, culminated at the iconic Palladium Times Square last January 25.
Three ladies were crowned at the end of the exciting night. Valerie claire West was crowned Reina Filipina North America 2025 and will represent the Empire State while Pauline del Mundo was proclaimed Reina Filipina North America 1st runner up and will be representing New Jersey. Amanda Russo was declared Reina Filipina North America 2nd runner-up and will be representing the state of Pennsylvania. All three ladies will travel to Manila this February and will compete at the 2025 Miss Universe Philippines Finals in April.
In my more than thirty years of covering the pageant scene, having witnessed various international and national pageants, I would like to commend the CEO of Reina Filipina North America, Dr. Alicia Sta. Maria Almendral of Monarch Montage, for a successful first pageant! Kudos to all the staff for successfully maneuvering the gargantuan task of mounting a world class pageant in such a short time. Their staging of this year’s edition is a welcome change from the usual Fil-am produced tilts here. Special mention to Director Cris Labaco and host Alain Echem for their professionalism. It was truly an innovative and phenomenal show praised by everyone who witnessed the event.
