I am truly blessed when it comes to beauty queen encounters! I just arrived at Novotel to confirm my weekend reservation. As my taxi was trying to park, there was a commotion outside the vehicle In front of us. A beautiful woman emerged in white and I was stunned! It was Andrea Rubio, Miss International 2023 from my favorite country…Venezuela!
I will never forget my chance encounter with these Venezuelan queens. In the middle of Times Square, with thousands of people milling around, I bumped into Miss Universe 2002 4th runner up Cynthia Lander and Miss International 2011 1st runner up Jessica Barboza. They were shooting a film and when Jessica saw me, she was yelling “Filipinas”. We met at Miss Earth 2009 in Boracay.
Similar incidents have happened while walking in Las Vegas, along the halls of the hotel and even at airports! Guess I am Venezuelan!!!
Andrea was super stunning as she was welcomed by BPCI staff and the media. She will be attending the 60th Annual Bb. Pilipinas Coronation on July 7, 2024 with over a hundred former Bb. Pilipinas queens produced during six decades of beauty and glamour!
