Her presence is strongly felt once she goes in a room! Mauritius’ bet for January’s Miss Universe Pageant arrived in New York a few days before Christmas as a part of her preparation for the biggest pageant worldwide. the 25 year old holds a degree in Fine Arts and is currently a teacher of Arts and French in a primay school. She is accompanied by Miss Universe Seychelles 2022, Gabriela Gonthier, Both African islands are managed by one National Director, Nevin Rupear.
Alexandrine was a semi-finalist during this year’s Miss Supranational Pageant wherein she was named Africa’s Queen of Beauty. “I believe it’s time for Africa this year! she enthused during an interview with members of the Fil-American Press Club of New York held at rhe famous Philippine Restaurant in Queens, New York.
Asked whether she was in favor of a transgender delegate at Miss Universe, she replied, It’s all about accepting who you are, standing up for your rights and identity, so Miss Universe as a transgender, as an owner,is an example for the woman of today. So if from here today is to prove that we have our place in society, we stand up for our rights and we deserve this place!”
