ACTRESS DOLLY DE LEON GETS GOLDEN GLOBE NOMINATION FOR ‘TRIANGLE OF SADNESS’

After bagging the Best Special Performance award at the recently concluded LAFCA – The Los Angeles Film Critics Association and earning a nomination at the 27th Satellite Awards, Filipina actress Dolly de Leon made another international milestone as she received an acting nomination anew at the prestigious 80th Golden Globes Awards for the Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture category for her portrayal in the Cannes 2022 winning film “Triangle of Sadness” happening on January 10, 2023 in Beverly Hills, California, USA.

De Leon is the first Filipina actress to be nominated at the Golden Globe Awards. She will be vying for the acting award against a stellar roster including Angela Bassett for “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Kerry Condon for “The Banshees of Inisherin,” Jamie Lee Curtis for “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” and Carey Mulligan for “She Said.”

The Golden Globe Awards, launched in January 1944, are accolades bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association recognizing excellence in both American and international film and television.
