Miss World 1979 Gina Swainson Statue in Hamilton, Bermuda

For a big pageant aficionado, seeing this statue is indeed a very memorable moment. Gina Swainson was 1st runner up in the 1979 Miss Universe Pageant held in Perth, Ausralia. Later that year she was crpwned Miss World in London. This statue of her was created by Desmond Fountain in 1986 and was unveiled by the Premier The HonourableJohn W. Swan on July 3, 1986.
