Fil-Am Actor Luis Pedron wonthe recently concluded NY Long Island Film Festival 2021, Pedron won the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedic Role Award held at Lindenhurst Long Island NY last October 23, 2021.
Luis is known as the Co Founder, Film Festival Director and Programmer of the International Film Festival Manhattan, now on it’s Milestone 11th year. He is known to showcase Asian films here in NY especially Filipino movies from the Philippines and around the world. In the NYC area he advocates for Filipino American Senior Citizens, Asian Issues and Events. He recently was awarded the The Outstanding Filipinos in America (TOFA) NY. Only 25 out of 100 Filipino American nominees were awarded at the Carnegie Hall. The event was hosted by Philippine’s Boy Abunda. Pedron was also included in MJ Racadio’s (Blogtalk Hollywood) list of the 75 Most Influential Filipino American. All of these happened this October 2021, which is meaningful to Mr Pedron since October is the Filipino American History Month here in the USA.
